A new game
Sunday, March 19th, 2006Just when I thought snes was obsolete and that I had played every single good game, I happened to come upon a really good game: Wonder Project J: Kikai no Shounen Pino
It’s very good. You take control of this little robot boy named pino and you teach him how to use things and stuff. Download the translated rom here (http://www.rom-world.com/dl.php?name=Super_Nintendo&letter=W) be sure to get the 1.04 WakdHacks translation and an snes emulator and play this game! It is the most "cinematic" game for the snes that I ever played and you’ll actually have a LOT of fun!
The controls are simple. Just make pino walk and click on an object to have him interact with it. If you like what he did with the object, use the reward button to praise pino. If you don’t, then scold him. In this manner you can teach pino to throw a ball, plant seeds, sing, balance on a ball, walk on a tightrope, and even fight with a sword! Sadly the sword fighting sequences are sort of cinematic, which means you cant control pino, instead you watch him fight and if you trained Pino well, he’ll win!
The story is like astroboy’s or an isaac asimov novel. Pino must try to fix relationships between robots and humans. "EQUALITY FOR ALL!!" It’s a very nonviolent game. Nobody dies in the swordfighting sequences and pino can’t die. He just breaks down and you can repair him. This game is so good. It’s like the SIMS on snes but with a wonderful story!
Here is how the game looks like
This fairy is tinker. She’s pinos guide and your "cursor".
In this picture tinker is teaching pino to throw a ball. (I just downloaded a japanese language picture the rom is in english, so don’t worry!)
