Hi, This is Martin!! OMG!!!

Finally after a week of hectic scheduling, I finally got to go out to see a movie with the guys.  I was looking forward to a relaxing movie (Night at the museum) but I was horrified to discover when the opening credits rolled that we were actually watching Babel.

Babel was a good movie but it wasn’t what I wanted.  It was a movie that showed you lots of stuff and made you think. 

It wasn’t RELAXING AT all.  

In fact, at one point in the movie, I felt a fainting episode coming on because of the blood.  I just hate the sight of people bleeding to death. 

BTW, yes,  I have fainted before and I knew if I watched any more of the bleeding I would have collapsed.  I went to the toilet and looked in the mirror.  I was pale as a ghost.  But I would have loved watching this movie if I wasn’t so stressed out.

I’m feeling very un-relaxed right now and tomorrow I have to go and study for my exams again!  Noooo!!!  I wanted to relax but this movie got me so worked up!!

After the movie we went bowling.

Nakhai was very nice and showed us the ropes and techniques of bowling (and paid for everything.)   

I kinda liked it except for the part where they made us wear dumb bowling shoes.  Ewww .. Want a bad case of athlete’s foot anyone?  I thought the shoes made my feet look like Ronald Mc Donald’s.

This is me bowling! It’s very tricky because there’s lots of factors to take into consideration..  Stuff like spin, grip, ball weight and aiming are very important. 

I learned that heavy balls are really powerful and easy to control but hard to throw!

Light balls are easily thrown but have poor control and they tend to spin a lot. 

So… I played bowling.

I recently started playing GuildWars again.  The new expansion is really nice to play with all the new heroes and all.  I’m a little tired of DOTA. 

As of now I’m leveling up my hero army so I can beat the game.

Next month is my Birthday.  Weee.. I’ll be twenty five. Dammit.  five more years till I’m thirty.

Nothing interesting today.  I just made a pot of pasta with Clara Ole’s Onion and Garlic Spag sauce.

A few days ago, i was looking through the friends of my friend Aljay on friendster when suddenly, I came across the name of an old and a very special friend to me.. Tears came into my eyes..  I thought I had lost her forever.  I viewed her profile and I was lost for words as I saw her pictures.  She was exactly as I remembered her!! I started crying a little.. I had been looking for her for 18 years and I had given up hope of ever finding her again.  I wrote this letter to her…

Emil bought Final Fantasy (series), Zoids and at my prodding, Gantz the anime.  I bought Densha otoko because I forgot to take back my Densha Otoko from Joe before I left for Manila.

I was at Alabang Town Center to relax after my lab pracs. I was munching my breadtalk floss when all of a sudden I noticed a lot of people standing outside the Lacoste shop (The one in front of Powerbooks).

I went to take a look. I thought that there was a fire or something.  I asked a guard what was going on.  He told me that Erik Morales, the mexican boxer was shopping in Lacoste.

I’m not a fan of boxing. All I know is that Manny Pacquiao beat him.  I caught a glimpse of Erik Morales in the Lacoste shop and then I left. I felt sorry for him, the way some people kept hounding him. All I can say is that.. he’s pretty good looking and he’s got VERY shaggy eyebrows.  A pretty boy.

I’m currently addicted to Avatar: The Last airbender.  It’s a Nickelodeon cartoon and it’s Kinda like Naruto. It’s very well animated and the story is a bit serious but it has light hearted moments and battle scenes that make you want to come back for more.  It’s a bit kiddie at times but it’s still good stuff.  There’s like 2 seasons out and a third season is coming out this year. I’ve got season one and It’s great. Aang, the bald kid, can fly and control air, while Katara, the girl, can control water.  Sokka, the other kid, is the comic relief of the show.  He doesn’t have any special powers and he complains a lot. That makes him fun to watch.

Khash gave me my christmas present today! The complete Thundercats on 12 dvds!  Thank you so much!  I watched one DVD and I really had fun.  I remember that as a kid, the Thundercats show was one of my favorites on television.

My favorite Thundercats were Lion-o, Cheetara, Wilykit and Wilykat 

Lion-o was the leader and he had the cool sword of omens.  Cheetara could run really fast and Wilykit and Wilykat were small, nimble and they threw tiny pellets that had gas, powders or glue in them.  Of course, the thundercats had a cool catchphrase. Lion-o would shout: "THUNDER THUNDER THUNDERCATS!  HO!!!!"  and the sword of omens would lengthen and a beacon with the thundercat logo  would shoot out like the batsignal.  Good stuff.

It turns out that I had bought the final season of the new he-man.  It’s okay.  They introduced new characters and a new enemy the snakemen.  These guys are even more powerful than Skeletor’s goons. 

I also found out what Skeletor looked like before turning into a skeleton-like figure. 

He was a blue skinned, long haired villain named Keldor.  He assembled his forces and wreaked havok on Eternia, the world of He-man.  That’s him on the right fighting with with He-man’s father.

  Anyway,  Keldor was dying so with the help of Evil-Lyn (the babe to the left) he asked Hordak, to save his life.  Hordak extended Keldor’s life but Keldor became the walking skull-faced creature known as Skeletor.

My Favorite character in the New He-man would have to be Evil-Lyn.  She’s a mean spell caster and she’s kinda cute too.  I THINK I remember liking Orko,Stratos, Teela and Cringer when I was a kid.  I recently watched a rerun of the old 80’s He-man show.  I couldn’t stand it!  He-man was a dumb jock who just ran around waving his sword without USING IT.  Sheesh, all the sword’s good for is transforming him anyway.

I found out that the Transformers I got wasn’t the first or even the second season but the THIRD.  Geez.  Khash got me transformers too so now I have two DVDS of the third season.  Anybody want it?   Just post a comment here or e-mail me or something.  I really want the first season.  Next week maybe I’ll go try shopping for the Visionaries.

I’m stil sick… Bummer..  But today I went to the clinic and I got some medicine so now I’m feeling okay.  They gave me this really good gargle solution called Orofar. It’s got Lidocaine in it which is pretty neat.  I gargled with it and my sore throat stopped hurting!  Wow.. It seems Lidocaine paralyzes throat muscles and keeps them from hurting. Neat..

I cooked chicken burgers for the guys today.  I bought a lot of ground up chicken and made around 15 huge burger patties which was good because the guys had enormous appetites and they ate it all up. I tried using hunt’s barbeque sauce for a change and the guys said my food tasted great but secretly I was thinking that I should have stuck to using Mang Tomas’ barbeque sauce.

These are the dvds that I bought in Lotus Mall!

Isaac and Nakhai gave me directions to Lotus Mall in Imus.  I have always wanted to go there, the way Isaac kept describing it as like a mini-quiapo a.k.a pirated stuff heaven.  It brought back memories of the times Philip and I would go to Quiapo for a shopping spree. I went there this evening and these are the dvds that I bought.

One of the main reasons that I went was that Isaac said that they had old 80’s cartoons like visionaries.  I didn’t see any visionaries so I got the new He man series instead. 

     I used to watch the original cartoon before and I love what they’ve done with the new He-man!  The animation is great and He-man really fights instead of just waving around that sword of his.      

     Plus, the characters have undergone remakes and they are looking pretty sharp. Unfortunately I think I got the second season of he-man. I dunno. I just watched an episode and I moved on to view my other purchases.

I also accidentally got the second season of Tsubasa chronicles!  The salesman assured me that It was season 1 and 2 but he sold me season 2 only.

     It’s okay.  I watched like 3 minutes of one episode and it seemed that they were still looking for Sakura’s feathers so I think I didn’t miss anything.

I got the Transformers!  But I got the season after the war with Omnicron. (Transformers the Movie.) 

     Grrr.  I wanted to watch the first and second seasons. But I guess this is okay.  My favorite transformers were the dinobots, bumble bee and blaster (the stereo). Blaster ruled!

I also got a dvd with 8 porno movies in it.  Three of them are the Private Gladiator series.

Pirated Porno has certainly come a long way.  Back then Philip and I would buy VCDs in Quiapo with the best looking girls or "interesting action" on the cover sleeves but in cheap pirated VCDs the "what you see, is what you get" doesn’t apply.  Often times the movie inside the VCD would be totally different! 

     Philip and I would compensate by buying a LOT of porn VCDS.  Hey, with all that porn, you’re bound to get some good stuff..  Hahahhaa. Oh those were the days..   Take care everyone!

I had some friends over for the cheesecake and It turned out pretty good.  It was sorely lacking in sugar. Well, the guys just spooned a lot of the left over comstock blueberry filling and It was pretty okay.

Arrgh, I hate having the flu.  I feel so weak. I had to absent from afternoon classes to take a nap.  Anyway.. I made instant mashed potatoes! It is so surprisingly easy to make!

I just nuked a cup of water with some salt and butter for 2 minutes and
plunked in a cup of instant potato flakes.  After a few seconds of stirring, VOILA!! Instant Mash!  hahaha!  I really enjoyed the whole thing because It is SUCH a HASSLE to prepare mashed potatoes and now it only took around 3 minutes using the instant mashed potato mix.  hahahaha.  I had two helpings of mashed potato and the can of tuna that ken gave me for lunch.

Today’s event:  A touch = electricity.  It is amazing how a touch will galavanize you.  The sensation is just so… electric.  The thought that was running through my head was:  "It’s so soft!" HaHAhaAHha.. 

Arrgh, This is getting to be an annoying trend.  Last time I came from bacolod I caught the flu the day before my flight.  This time I AGAIN caught the flu.  Am I cursed or what??

I went to mall of Asia to catch the FX there back to dasma. It’s only 45 pesos for the fare to Dasma which is A LOT cheaper than paying 1,300 for an airport taxi.  While I was there  Look what I Found In the grocery! Instant mashed potatoes!  It’s only 100 pesos. I LOVE MASHED POTATOES but they’re such a hassle to prepare and cook in real life.  I couldn’t resist and I purchased a pack.  Hopefully It’ll taste great!

I also got some blueberry cheesecake ingredients.  I planned to try and make my mom’s blueberry cheesecake.  Unfortunately things didn’t turn out so well.  For instance, Waltermart didn’t have Comstock blueberry pie topping so I had to go to SM.  When I got to SM I went to the CANNED FRUIT section and I couldn’t find any blueberry filling.  The man who was in charge told me they were sold out.  I was too well versed in the law of shopping in the Philipines:  If the salesperson doesn’t know what the heck you’re talking about or looking for, he/she’ll just say it’s out of stock…  Pretty helpful eh??

Anyway, I decided to look for crushed Grahams instead.  So I went to the baking materials section.  Guess what I found?  Yup, lots of cans of blueberry.  Geez.  Why in the world would they place the blueberries in this section and NOT in the CANNED FRUIT section is just too bizzare for me.

Anyway, I got the ingredients and made my mom’s cheesecake.  It turned out badly I think..  The creamcheese mixture was lumpy because I didn’t have a blender.  I tried tasting the mixture and it tasted BLECHH

Anyway, I still went ahead and topped the whole thing with blueberries.  I’m kinda giving it a chance to cool and set.  Maybe it’ll taste better when it cools eh?

I’m not disappointed, I’ve come to expect this everytime I cook a new dish.  Usually the first batch sucks but the next time I Iron out the kinks and I don’t mess up anymore.  GRRRR.. Tomorrow I’m cooking chicken burgers for my friends.  At least that’s a dish I got right on the first try!   Hahaha.  Peace out you guys..  Gonna go play a little DOTA

Happy New Year!  I didn’t do anything special.  I just stayed up and played more Might and Magic VI until the stroke of twelve midnight.  My family didn’t have anyobody over for new year’s.  We were supposed to go have dinner at my Tito Jerry’s but my parents didn’t want to go.  Anyway Dad cooked a really good pasta dish.  It’s Pasta tubes stuffed with meat.  Really yummy.

I reached my goal of beating at least one game this vacation.  I beat Pirates and an hour ago I just beat Bully!  I didn’t get to beat Might and Magic but I did get to go against this huge minotaur boss.  I was having trouble beating him and I kept redoing the boss fight.  Luckily for me, the dumb beast got stuck between two treasure boxes and I was able to pick him off with arrows!

Well, that’s all.  Tomorrow I’m going back to Manila.  I plan to stop by Mall of Asia to take the FX home and to get some Bagels, cream cheese and some instant soup.  (I’m going on a diet.) I also plan to try and make mom’s blueberry cheesecake and cook some chicken burgers for   my friends.  HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!
