Two days ago I had a craving for a Wendy’s chicken breast sandwich. Luckily for me class let out early for lunch so off I went to SM. I had my sandwich and since I had 2 hours to kill I decided to go walk around SM department store for a bit.

The department store was busy preparing for the Chinese New Year and they had fortune cookies and all sorts of new year things.
I got this cool gourd thingy. It looks pretty neat. I hung it outside my door. It’s supposed to bring wealth and good luck.
For my friends I got two boxes of strawberry flavoured fortune cookies.
Of course I had one to see what my fortune was. It was "Romance is in the air". What a crock.. I had another fortune cookie because the first fortune sucked.
My friends loved their cookies. I think it’s a pretty fun thing to pass out fortune cookies and seeing what fortune everyone gets. It’s also nice to pass out good luck to friends.

That afternoon I decided to watch APOCALYPTO at robinsons.
Apocalypto was pretty okay. It was a bit gory. I think it’s pretty accurate about the Mayan peoples way of life, with the sun worship and human sacrifices and all.
Basically the movie is just like another of those adventure movies I’ve seen.. or in my case, one of the books I’ve read but a bit more bloodier. Don’t get me wrong, Apocalypto is a VERY GOOD movie but compared to BABEL, BABEL is much better story wise. Yeah, Apocalypto IS VERY GORY but BABEL’S gore actually made wince, squirm and me feel nauseous. Which is good.
I could see Apocalypto’s ending a mile away.. especially after the eclipse and the Beach scene. Whoops.. Did I say too much? Well, If you know your history and If you’ve got your brain working I’ve probably spoiled the movie for you.
Hahaha.

After watching APOCALYPTO, It was still a bit early so I went and watched NIGHT at the museum.
Night at the museum is a kids movie. It’s about museum exhibits that come to life at night.
I kinda enjoyed the movie but it reminded me of THE INDIAN IN THE CUPBOARD (movie and books.) especially since it featured Owen Wilson as a miniature trigger happy cowboy. (Remember Boo-hoo Boone anyone? No?)
I laughed like crazy when the cowboy said a Brokeback mountain reference in the movie. The people sitting next to me didn’t get it.
I didn’t like Ben stiller’s character. He came off as being sarcastic and rude. And his kid was looking so… bored. I love museums and If the exhibits came alive I’d be like.. WHOAAA COOL!!

Tuesday’s my birthday. The question I am asking myself now is…
AM I COOKING ON MY BIRTHDAY?? Probably… I would like a carton of velveeta cheese for my birthday. Hopefully WalterMart stocks it. I want to make some Mac and Cheese. I’ve been researching recipes on the net and so far I found one that looks promising. I can’t bake so finding a No-bake mac and cheese recipe is tricky.
